Automating everything

In the KASPARC project, designed by Zaha Hadid, we were using smart algorithms - artificial intelligence based methods - to do a very original task. We were automatically importing CATIA files of complex facade panels into Rhinoceros 3D. In an automated proces, the geometry of these structures was examined, the unique panels were identified and examined for errors. By creating a bespoke software, we managed to find many geometrical errors, thus saving a lot of production costs.
